Hair Attention Deficit Disorder (Hair A.D.D): The problem of not being able to control your behavior when it comes to your hair, constantly changing your hair or your hairstyle.
I know I am not the only one who suffers from this! I have colored, cut, and changed my hair several times over the last couple of years! The biggest change came for me when I decided to cut off all of my relaxed ends. My hair wasn’t even an inch long after the cut! I have always been bold when it came to cutting my hair but I never cut it that short before. It was very random, but I was tired of my daughter coming to me and telling me, “Mommy, I want my hair straight like yours.” I wanted her to embrace her beautiful head of curly hair, but how could I expect her to do that when I was chemically altering my own in order to get a straight, sleek look. So one night, I cut it all off! I cried for awhile, then laughed uncontrollably when my daughter told me to put on some earrings and lipstick and make it work lol! My “big chop” gave me confidence that I’ve never known before.I could also look at my baby girl, finally, and tell her that her curls were beautiful without being contradicting. Ultimately, this blog is for you all to share my journey with me and my hair. I would also love for you all to share your stories with me as well! I would like to thank each and every one of you in advance for taking the time out to read my blog and share this journey with me! I will constantly work my hardest to keep growing this blog, so stay tuned!
