Sooo, I decided before I did my next review, I would use the product I was reviewing consistently for at least three months in order to give you a very accurate, informative review. I have been using the As I Am Twist Defining Cream for three months or more and it has become a staple in my regimen. I shied away from doing twist outs and braid outs for awhile because I could not achieve the shine, and lasting ability I was aiming for. I decided to give this product a try. After the first use, I was very impressed to say the least. This product is a cream with a medium consistency. It smells just like your favorite fruit flavored candy! The smell is so wonderful. I did a braid out the first time I used this product. I applied the product from root to tip and braided my hair in about 12-16 braids. I had never really had a successful braid out before I used this product. The results were amazing. My hair was so shiny, bouncy, and it smelled heavenly. It was also extremely moisturized. I continued to use this product on twist outs, flat twists, braids, and mini twist. Every single time, my hair is extremely moisturized and shiny. This product leaves your hair soft but it has lasting results. My hair was ON POINT for days after use of this product. As I Am Twist Defining Cream delivers on each and every promise it delivers. It is a little pricey, but definitely worth it. My fellow naturalistas, this product is 10/10 for me and I highly suggest you try it! Here are some pics of some of the styles I did while using this product.

The Twistout!

Lately I have been trying my hardest to perfect my twistout. A twistout is when you take two strands of hair, wet or dry, and twists them together, they can be individually twisted or twisted along the scalp. The twists are then removed after drying to create a wave pattern. It can also aid naturals who just simply want to create definition in their hair. I try a twistout probably once a month and always end up with awesome definition in the front and a frizz ball in the back, but I digress. I believe this is because I always ambitiously start these twistouts late at night and once I get to the back section I’m over it and I begin putting huge uneven twist in the back. Well, needless to say, last night was no better! I began flat twisting my hair around 1 a.m. I had four awesome medium size twist in the front, two on either side, and two large twists in the back. I did my flat twist on old, stretched hair. I normally always do it on wet hair but I wanted to make sure my hair would dry completely by the next morning. I started by spritzing my hair with Elasta QP Olive Oil and Mango Butter Leave-In H2 Conditioner, I then sealed my hair with organic coconut oil, and lastly I put the Elasta QP Olive Oil and Mango Butter Moisturizer before twisting each section. I set the ends of my hair on perm rods, put on my satin cap and went to sleep! The results were okay, but I do realize for better results I need to stop being so impatient and put in as much love and care in the back as I do in the front! Next time I will document the whole process for you all but as of now, I can show you the results. I will also do a review on the Elasta QP products I used for this twistout. Please feel free to share your stories about trying new styles with me! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
